After bitching and screaming and fighting and grounding, Tanner has found a job. He'll be mowing lawns, painting, weed eating, slinging tar and whatever else the City tells him to do.
With the area that we live in, jobs are very hard to find for 16 year old boys unless they grow up with a Dad/family member who farms.
Now that boy of ours can buy his own gas!!!!!!!!!!!! Bout time.....

Make him work at Dairy Queen. That was my first job and I made very good money all through high school.

The closest Dairy Queen is 20 miles from our house. Wouldn't work for a 1979 Full Size Chevy Blazer gas Hog!!! :)My brother did work there in High School though.

We lived 15 miles from Dairy Queen and I drove a 1980 Delta 88. Of course gas was only $0.88 back when I was in hs.
Great job for a kid--he will pick up some useful skills for taking care of his own place someday.
Wish I had someone like that I could put to work!
